The Audi ‘Trained Parking’ Guide: Never Park Yourself Again

We’ve all been there: arriving home after a long commute on the 401, only to face that one tricky maneuver into a narrow garage or a uniquely angled Kingston driveway. For 2026, Audi has introduced a solution that feels like science fiction: Trained Parking. Available on the all-new 2026 Audi Q3, Q5, and the electric Q6 e-tron, this system doesn’t just help you park—it learns from you.

What is Audi Trained Parking?

Trained Parking is an advanced function within the Park Assist Pro suite. Unlike standard parking sensors that simply beep, or Park Assist that finds random spots on the street, Trained Parking allows you to "teach" your Audi up to five specific maneuvers.

Whether it’s a winding path into your backyard port or a tight squeeze in a downtown underground garage, your Audi can memorize the path (up to 50 metres) and repeat it perfectly every time you arrive.

How It Works: Teach, Save, Repeat

The beauty of this technology is its simplicity. Here is how you "train" your Audi at your Kingston home:

  1. The Learning Phase: You drive the final 50 metres into your parking spot manually. While you do this, the Audi's 360-degree cameras and ultrasonic sensors record every steering input, brake application, and obstacle.

  2. The Save: Once parked, the MMI® touch display will ask if you want to save this location. Give it a name like "Home" or "Work."

  3. The Automation: Next time you arrive at that exact GPS coordinate, your Audi will recognize the surroundings. A prompt appears on your screen asking if you’d like the car to take over.

  4. The Hands-Off Experience: You simply monitor the process. The Audi handles the steering, gear changes, and braking to tuck itself perfectly into its spot.

The "Remote" Factor: Parking from the Sidewalk

The most impressive part of the 2026 system is the Remote Park Assist Plus integration. If your garage is so tight that you can barely open the door once inside, you can actually get out of the car first.

Using the myAudi app on your smartphone, you can stand safely on the sidewalk and hold a digital button. Your Audi will autonomously drive itself into the garage while you watch. If you let go of the button, the car stops instantly, giving you total control from the palm of your hand.

Why Kingston Drivers Love It

  • Heritage Homes: Many downtown Kingston driveways were built for horses, not SUVs. Trained Parking makes narrow access a non-issue.
  • Winter Precision: When snowbanks narrow your driveway, the system’s sensors ensure you’re perfectly centred every time.
  • Confidence for Everyone: Whether it's a new driver in the family or just a rainy night with poor visibility, the car's 360-degree "eyes" never miss a detail.

Experience the Future at Audi Kingston

The best way to understand Trained Parking is to see it in action. Our team at Audi Kingston (520 Bath Rd) is ready to demonstrate this and the other "Digital Stage" features of the 2026 lineup.
